Introduction

Guy Jubb is a CA and a leading expert in governance and stewardship. For 30 years, until he stepped down from Standard Life Investments as its Global Head of Governance & Stewardship in 2016, he was at the forefront of developing good practice. He has been recognised as a force for good in shaping the foundations for what has become the environmental, social and governance (ESG) movement. Guy continues to keep his fingers on the ESG pulse and enjoys rising to the challenge of tackling thorny ESG issues and providing independent thought leadership to promote responsible capitalism, transparency, and accountability.

As a recognised leader, Guy speaks at conferences around the world and on webinars, and writes articles and reports for leading publications. He is an Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh Business School, an Independent Non-Executive of Mazars LLP, Vice-Chair of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), Chair of the Research Panel of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and a member of its Policy Leadership Board. He is also a trusted advisor and in recent years has served as a member of the Global Advisory Panel of Standard Life Aberdeen plc (now abrdn plc), a FTSE-100 company, the Standing Advisory Group of the PCAOB, the US audit regulator, and as a Senior Adviser to the Conference Board.

Guy provides independent non-executive and advisory services to selected clients. He passionately believes that one size does not fit all when it comes to governance and stewardship, and he enjoys working with his clients to find sustainable solutions to their ESG challenges.
